Keen eyes will spot that the Kuota has no seatpost collar - still sitting on the workbench in Perth!!! Moral - if you have that nagging feeling that you have forgotten something, then you probably have! It's definitely not the way to pass what is supposed to be a relaxing 3 hour flight trying to figure out how to get someone to climb the locked gate into your house and then how to get the offending article to Adelaide! Thanks to Ian and Brett for jumping through some hoops (and over some gates) and saving the day.
On the upside, weather here is great and a short stroll around town resulted in close encounters with a number of famous protagonists. Yes, pro cyclists really are skinny - even at this time of year. George (as in Hincapie) cannot weigh much more than I do, and he's a good 6 inches taller. No more Belgian triples for me!
Anyway, seat collar should arrive tomorrow(once again thanks to Ian and Brett), so may be able to get a ride in, but will definitely watch (and get some pics from) the downtown crit. Big ride planned for Monday as no racing, just presentation of riders etc.
